Using our device makes finding the perfect shade easier than ever - but achieving a vibrant, even result still depends on how the hair dye is applied.
This guide is here to help you get the most out of your coloring session with prepping, application tips, as well as examples of ideal and less-than-ideal outcomes. Let's make sure your color turns out just the way you imagined.
Pre-Dye Prep
  • Allergy Test: Apply dye from the allergy test kit to a test patch, place it on the inner arm, and monitor for 48 hours.
    • If symptoms like rash, redness, itching, blisters, or irritation occur, rinse immediately and stop the test.
    • You can find more details about allergy test here.
  • Refer to each shade's info page to see expected results for different base hair colors and determine the needed bleach level.
    • Blue Colors: A more yellow base can make the dye result and fading process look greenish. Check the hair samples on each shade's info page.
    • Pastel & Mist Colors: For these colors to show up, hair needs to be lightened to blonde or platinum blonde. The color duration is relatively short, so using the corresponding color conditioner to maintain the effect is recommended.
    • You can also find more notes regarding color selection here.
Dye Your Hair
  • Apply vaseline or face cream to areas behind the ears and on the forehead. Wear a cape and gloves, and cover surfaces prone to staining.
  • After dispensing the hair dye, mix thoroughly until no single ingredient is visible in the mixture.
    • The mixed color should generally match the target color. Please contact us if there is a significant color difference.
    • You can find more tips about mixing here.
  • Perform a strand test first to confirm the color before proceeding with full application.
  • Apply hair dye to clean, dry hair. Divide the hair into several sections and apply from ends to roots.
    • To avoid unevenness, ensure thick, even application with sufficient dye to cover all hair fibers.
  • Leave the dye in for 30 - 40 minutes, monitoring color changes and adjusting as needed.
    • For lighter colors, you can extend the time until desired saturation is achieved.
  • Rinse off the dye thoroughly with water, avoiding hot water to maintain color saturation

Here's an example of how dye application methods impact final coloring results. Using the same shade, differences in thick vs. thin application or uneven brushing can lead to clearly noticeable variations.

Color Depositing Conditioner
  • To dispense the matching color conditioner, go to the shade's information page in the APP (select the shade directly or via history), choose conditioner instead of hair dye, and dispense as usual.
  • For daily care, after shampooing, towel-dry hair, apply conditioner evenly, leave it in for 3 - 5 minutes, then rinse with water. Adjust the leave-in time based on fading status and recoloring effect.
  • In cases of significant fading, apply a thick layer of conditioner to dry hair and leave it in for 15 - 20 minutes, or until the desired hair color is achieved.
  • You can also find more information on color conditioner here.

Caution
  • For external use only. Do NOT use if allergic to the product.
